Who we are

Prison Officer Pay is an independent website, not affiliated with HMPPS, the Ministry of Justice, the POA or any union or employer. Contact: hello@prisonofficerpay.co.uk.

Information, not advice

Content and calculators are general information and estimates based on published rules and the figures you enter. They are not legal, financial, tax, pension or employment advice. Your contract, payslip, pension administrator and employer decide your actual position. Take advice from a qualified adviser or your representative before acting, especially on conduct and discipline matters.

Accuracy

We work hard to keep information accurate and dated, but rules and rates change and mistakes happen. We do not guarantee that content is complete or current. If you spot an error, please tell us.

Paid tools

Accounts

Keep your sign-in details secure. You can delete your account and saved data from your account page or by contacting us.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the site: no attempts to disrupt it, scrape it at volume, reverse engineer paid tools or use it to harass others. We may suspend access where this happens.

Intellectual property

The site's text, design, data compilation and software are ours or used under licence. You may quote short extracts with attribution and a link. Official publications we reference remain the property of their owners.

Links

We link to official and third-party sites for convenience and are not responsible for their content.

Liability

Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on estimates or information on the site. Decisions you make about your pay, pension or career are yours.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. They are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, though if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring claims in your local courts.
